Beyond Bay

I met the Voxland’s in the Fall of 2013 when they came to the farm looking for lessons. Jason and his mom, Theresa, came out weekly for about 6 weeks together for lessons on “Edge” and “Brownie”. They progressed quickly learning from the ground up how to care for, groom, tack and ride a horse. After the winter we started looking for horses for them. 10157271_1439287979646036_824949161129321038_n

“Buddy” 9 yr old QH Gelding sold this spring to the Voxland’s. They were in search of a trail and family horse that their 13 yr old boy, Jason, would be the main rider of. I found them Buddy through a boarder who he was not a good fit for.

They decided to purchase him and he continued a week more tune-up followed by lessons with his new rider to help them build their new partnership.

*Update* Buddy is now being ridden by the whole family fast, slow and in between with and without saddle. Often in just a halter and rope.

They were wanting to buy two horses in the spring for the family but waited to get adjusted to the first one.

“Buddy 2” is a bit more spirited than the first but will be a great step up for Jason and his cousins who want to pleasure ride in the country around McIntosh, MN, and perhaps do some showing down the road.
